MODERN INFORMATION OF BIG DATA IN SOCIOLOGY

Big Data is a digital phenomenon that enables the collection and use of massive amounts of data derived from both man and machine. This data is characterized in terms of its volume, variety, velocity, veracity, variability, and its complexity. While Big Data allows ﬁrms to rapidly capture, analyze, and exploit information, it can also enable access to data that compromises an individual's privacy. And this can happen either deliberately or inadvertently. Either way, Big Data fosters a discussion of ethical issues relative to the sharing and usage of data. Ethical debates are typically articulated within the context of ethical theories. These theories help to frame our understanding of moral issues. Their use affords insight into the context and the logic of the moral arguments being presented, thereby providing us with a rational mechanism by which to better evaluate whether an intended action or actual outcome is morally right or wrong. Four ethical theories are brieﬂy reviewed in this paper: Kantianism, Utilitarianism, Social Contract Theory, and Virtue Theory. Each theory is than examined to show how it might be employed to examine Big Data issues.

THE SYSTEM FORMATION OF THE «SOCIAL HEALTH»

The problem of categorical registrations of the concept «social health» with its amount of meanings is stated. The consequence of this problem is the insufficient formation of the corresponding concept on the one hand, and the necessity of categorical system specification on the other. Its semantic field is defined on the basis of the contextual analysis reproduction of the given concept in social science literature. The attempt of base categories ordering, its components and its correlation is undertaken.

The approach presented in given article is interesting to that research of social health is refracted through a prism of humanistic orientation. In other words the major parameter of social health is the person’s opportunity to realization in the society.

Views western classical sociological concepts of education as a social differentiation factor and social mobility factor (E. Durkheim, M. Weber, P. Bourdieu, N. Smelser, etc.), and a new stage of development in educational theory connected with the advent of «human capital» concept is considered in this article as well (T. Schultz, G. Becker, P. Bourdieu, E. Sorensen, U. Beck, M. Castells). Educational resources accumulation and their converting into social capital (giving innovative rent) is the key principle of our society competitiveness in the global world. Resources approach in this context becomes a basis of social stratification.

Bioethics is a field of interdisciplinary research concerning the moral aspect of human activity in medicine and biology, which was formed in the middle of the 20th century at the intersection of philosophical disciplines (primarily ethics), jurisprudence, and the natural sciences. A fundamentally new paradigm of human study of the surrounding world, its preservation in the conditions of scientific and technological progress, including the preservation of human health. Modern bioethics, an actively developing scientific branch, has many directions (environmental bioethics or ecological bioethics, medical bioethics, clinical bioethics), some of them are in the process of formation.

The Internet and distance learning have created a new business and a new teaching pedagogy. The purpose of this paper is to show how data communication technologies have aﬀected distance learning and pedagogy, and help teachers and students in virtual classrooms. In particular, the paper addresses the history of distance learning, current issues, the federal government’s role, and four speciﬁc areas of improvement: curricula change, new patterns of interaction, changes in organizational structures, and the roles and activities of participants in both business and academic distance-learning environments.

The main requirement for a graduate of medical educational institutions is his professional competence and mobility. At present, high-quality education is impossible without the use of modern innovative pedagogical technologies. The experimental application of the “flipped classroom” pedagogical technology showed that this technology, when compared with traditional methods, is the most effective, objective and serves to expand the knowledge of a medical student not only within the boundaries of one taught subject, but also makes it necessary to acquire teamwork and self-control skills and self-education; in addition, a medical student will learn to make a decision in a specific situation, to work independently.
